Location

The City of Collinsville is located 10 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri in Madison & St. Clair Counties. Interstates 55, 70, 64, 255, and 270 virtually surround Collinsville, linking it to the rest of the country and making it less than an hour's drive from some 2.5 million people. I-255 completes the eastern portion of the circumferential highway around the St. Louis area, making access to many locations much easier and quicker. Forty percent of the nation's population and industrial base is within 500 miles.

Most of Collinsville is located on bluffs ranging in height from 80 feet to 140 feet above the valley floor. This upland area is wooded with gently rolling hills. The remainder of Collinsville is located below the bluffs on a flat, highly fertile, flood plain. This area is primarily agricultural, producing crops such as horseradish, soybeans, and corn.
